The Man Behind
The Biker’s Guide To Business
Dwain on Biking
“I’d rather ride my motorcycle thinking about business than sit in an office thinking about riding.”
Family and friends aside, the only thing Ilove as much as the game of business is riding my motorcycle. And after decades of enjoying both, Ive grown equally at home in the boardroom and in the saddle.
I’ve ridden a motorcycle longer than I’ve driven a car, starting on a Honda 100 when in high school. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed several cruisers, sport and touring bikes. These days I ride a Harley Road King Custom.
Couple of years ago, I was riding a Moto-Guzzi back to Florida from Canada when a germ of a thought started to form. After rolling up a few thousand more miles in the saddle, conducting dozens of business workshops and chatting up business owners and entrepreneurs who love to ride, my idea began to take shape.
Then, after a life-threatening bout with cancer I decided the time had come to combine my two passions. The result is my book The Biker’s Guide to Business published in 2009 by John Wiley and Sons. Inspired by my successful comeback from cancer surgery the book combines lessons learned from decades spent in the boardroom and the saddle to create a process that will help anyone – whether they ride or not – achieve success in business without sacrificing their personal life.
Since I’m based in Central Florida, I enjoy riding every month of the year and am a proud member of both H.O.G. and the Iron Butt Association. I ride both solo and with groups touring many parts of the U.S. and Canada. After all the miles traveled, the appeal of motorcycling remains as strong to me today as it was when I first threw my leg over that Honda 100.
Dwain on Business
“Business is the greatest win/lose game there is. There’s NO second place so you better bring your ‘A-Game…”
I am an entrepreneur, author, professional speaker and the Founder/CEO of WaterMark International. For almost two decades I’ve provided entrepreneurs with a down and dirty, tattooed guide to getting where they want to go in business. Over the past 12 years, I’ve worked with more than one hundred startup and growing businesses.
My client list covers the spectrum of business from small enterprises to universities to major corporations, including the Fortune 100. In business I advise CEOs and their companies through one-on-one coaching, workshops, high-level mastermind groups and The Retreat On Wheels, my mastermind program for entrepreneurs who also ride.

While much of my work focuses on helping entrepreneurs and small business owners, my work for larger corporations includes team building, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and communication issues.
